Sunday roast with perfect sauce

A good gravy is done as follows:

ingredients

  • 500 g roast pork
  • 500 g roast beef
  • Finely dice 1 carrot
  • Finely chop 1 onion
  • Finely chop 2 garlic cloves
  • Finely dice 1 red pepper
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • 1 teaspoon tomato paste

preparation

  1. After the meat has been seasoned and fried, remove it from the pan.
  2. Then the above listed vegetables come in and are seared.
  3. Then brown the mustard with the tomato paste, 1 minute, but not too much.
  4. Then add approx. 300 ml of dry red wine and put the roast in again and in addition fill with at least 1 liter of water with a little bouillon cube.
  5. Close pot and cook for at least 2-3 hours.
  6. Then tie the sauce with a sauce binder, no matter what brand.
