Swabian apple pie
ingredients
- 300 g of flour
- 100 g of sugar
- 150 g butter
- 1 egg
- 1 pinch of salt
- 4 tablespoons sour cream
Make a short pastry out of it.
- 250 g quark 40%
- 4 egg yolks
- 100 g of sugar
- Grated peel of a ½ lemon
- 4 egg whites
- 1 cup of cream
- 1 kg of apples
preparation
Shortcrust pastry with apples. Whisk egg whites and cream until stiff, stir egg yolk, quark and sugar until foamy, add lemon zest, then fold in egg whites and cream. Put the mixture on the apples and bake.
Baking time approx. 80-90 min. at 140 ° C to 160 ° C. After the baking time has elapsed, allow the apple cake to cool for another 30 minutes in the oven that has been switched off.
