Swedish milk / sour milk

The thick milk (also called milk Sweden) from the supermarket, I do not think yummy.

But there is the possibility to make thick milk yourself, even if you can not buy raw milk in the area. The ingredients for my recipe are available in the supermarket.

- 500 ml fresh milk
- 100ml unbeaten cream
- 100ml sour cream


production:

Heat the 500ml fresh milk until it is very hot, but do not cook! Then place the pan in a large bowl or in a sink full of cold water to cool. (~ 15 min)

In this pot you stir now the (unbeaten) cream and the sour cream.


This milk preparation can now be filled in 3 or 4 bowls. (I had previously rinsed my with boiling water). As "cover" suffice misappropriated saucers.

The bowls are now at room temp. let stand until the contents have become "stiff". (1-2 days)

Now you can sprinkle crumbled Knäcke- or farmhouse bread, gem. Ginger, cinnamon and sugar ...


Or stir in 2-3 tablespoons jam or banana slices and honey, etc ....

(Cool as desired before serving)

P.S. Formerly, this sour cream was made from raw milk. You just had to fill it in a bowl and at room temp. leave. At farmhouses, this sour cream was a popular, easy-to-make dessert.
