There are many flowers from which you can prepare syrup. Almost everyone knows elderflower syrup or lime blossom syrup. Syrup can also be prepared from maple blossoms, lemon balm, woodruff, dandelion flowers or violet flowers.

ingredients

  • 1 large handful of flowers or a bunch of lemon balm or woodruff
  • 1-1.5 L of water
  • 1 kg of sugar
  • 2 lemons

preparation

  1. The flowers should be some time, so that creepy-crawlers can remove.
  2. Bring the water with the flowers to a boil and let stand overnight.
  3. On the other day sieve, where you still express the flowers.
  4. Now the water is reheated with the sugar and the lemon juice. The sugar has to dissolve.
  5. The syrup is bottled hot, immediately close the bottles.

Depending on your taste, some of the water can also be replaced by some apple juice, wine or wine vinegar.

Vanilla or cardamom are also suitable as spices.
