Table salt or cheap dishwasher salt instead of road salt

First of all, I would like to say that I am not necessarily a friend of road salt, but there are situations, there is no other way:
Two days ago I was just at the cash register in the supermarket, when the two janitors of the adjoining old people's home, whose way was covered with a 5cm thick layer of ice, came in and asked the cashier asked if there was still road salt.

The shook only with his head and the men wanted to make the certainly unsuccessful way to the nearest supermarket. I asked them why they did not want to give up looking for and instead use cheap dishwasher salt or table salt, because that has the same effect.

The salt dissolves the ice crystals and sets the freezing point down, it does not matter which salt you use. The cheapest way is the salt for regeneration plants, that it is cheap to buy in the 25 kg bags in the hardware store.
