Test: Steam ironing station Philips PerfectCare Viva
I test the Philips PerfectCare Viva steam iron station. I would like to tell you now my first impressions of this device. First, my impression of the design, I liked the shape right away, it fits well in the hand and is actually a lightweight for an iron, it weighs only about 1 kilogram.
Immediately I noticed the huge water tank of 1.7 liters, which lasts really long, if you feel like you can easily iron for 2 hours. What I also have to mention is the steam output is available in just under two minutes. But do not worry the device will respond when it's ready to go, so you can not go wrong.
The first time I ironed about five shirts from white to black and various small parts, of course the whole time with? Full steam? worked, the tank was still ¾ full.
I ironed many different materials to see if Philips' statement is true that? A setting for all fabrics? and? never sorting laundry again? advertises. At first I was a bit skeptical, but soon I realized that Philips did not promise too much. All the laundry I could iron with no problem. The results were great. Also, the iron slides easily over the laundry, almost like a skate on the ice.
Also an advantage is the safe parking on the ironing board or the laundry, also here I can confirm the statement from the manufacturer. Save Rest calls that Philips, it's true, I've taken an old towel and left the sole for over three minutes on the towel, nothing happened.
The price performance ratio for such a device is justified for me, it is a bit more expensive but that is perfectly fine, you really get a great device.
Of course, I also have some criticisms. I wanted to take photos for the report and put the station on the ground. When I got wet hands, so the tank is probably not very tight. Okay, you usually do not carry the station through the apartment, but I still want to point that out.
It would be nice if a matching refill for the water tank would be included. For a capacity of 1.7 liters, it is of course difficult to find a suitable vessel to fill the station at once and spill nothing.
