The world's best plum dumplings

Depending on the dumpling size:

  • 8-16 plums
  • Make 1 bag of potato dumpling dough "half and half" (you can also mix it yourself from one half cooked and one half raw potatoes)
  • lump sugar
  • about 70 g butter
  • about 70 g of sugar and breadcrumbs

preparation

  1. Dig the plums, place a sugar cubes in the plum and then cover with dumpling dough. Smooth the dough smoothly (it works best with wet hands).
  2. Then let the dumplings in the boiling water draw like normal potato dumplings.
  3. When they come back to the surface (about 5-10 minutes), they are done.
  4. Meanwhile, melt 50 g of the butter and let the sugar caramelise in it.
  5. Mix with bread crumbs and keep on the stove until you have a nice sprinkling.
  6. The rest of the butter liquefy, the dumplings are sprinkled with the breadcrumbs and doused with butter.

A little tip on the edge: Who gets easily heartburn, should rather omit the pure butter.
