This is how hard cookies soften

If cookies are baked in the Advent season and in cans o.ä. Nobody wants to be lifted, that they will be hard to get our "third party" from the Kukident solution.

Should the mishap still happen or some varieties are always hard at first and only soften by storage, this process can be prevented or at least shortened.

Put a layer of buttered bread or baking paper on top of the cookies (in the can) and then one apple in the middle or even several times (with the cut surface facing upwards) and close the can again.

If you leave the can closed for a few days to about 1 week, you have nice soft Christmas cookies afterwards. Oh yes, the apples are then disposed of.

Maybe this is a useful tip for one or the other.

Have fun baking!
