Tomato jam - made from green tomatoes
Making green tomatoes - tomato jam: It was a few years ago, when I still had an allotment. All fruits and vegetables were used, boiled and frozen. The more it always annoyed me that the last tomatoes did not turn red and then landed on the compost.
That's when I discovered this recipe and loved the taste. This marmalade tastes similar to gooseberry jam - and it's very simple - and here it is:
Jam from green tomatoes:
1 kg of green tomatoes
1 kg gelling sugar
1 piece vanilla bar or some cinnamon and cloves
