Towel holder Turnring make yourself

My last gym class at school is a bit dated, but I loved it to swing back and forth. For my son, we have also installed gymnastic rings in the room to compensate for movement in bad weather. When the towel holder fell off the wall, the idea with the wooden ring as a new towel holder was born.

Material:

  • Turnring made of wood
  • Rope or leather strap
  • Metal hooks or ceiling hooks with dowels for suspension

Manual:

The principle for this towel rail is really simple. Drill a hole in the ceiling above the point where the ring should hang. Select the diameter of the drill according to the size of the ceiling hook. Press in the dowel and screw in the ceiling hook. Good are robust ceiling hooks, which are also used for swings. Then the ring hangs when children pull something wilder on the towel.

Some rings have already pre-assembled the rope, then you just need to hang it up. If you only have the ring or would like to bring some color into the game, then you can attach colorful cotton rope, webbing or leather straps to the ring. Ropes can simply be pulled through and knotted. With straps and leather straps (it can also be an old belt) can be turned at the bottom and top to a loop, which are then fastened with rivets. Do not forget to pull the ring through the loop first. Done is a towel rack that does not hang anywhere and looks very cool.
