Trend material SnapPap - a vegan leather

Because I mentioned this material in another tip, one member had the idea that I would like to post SnapPap under a separate tip. I like to follow this up, in the hope of being able to infect many others directly with my enthusiasm about this material.

Trend material SnapPap - a vegan leather

SnapPap is a fairly new material on the market that can be called "vegan leather". I first had samples sent in A4 format so I could touch it and, above all, wash it.

Yes, you read that right: This paper-like sustainable (!) Material (it's made of plastic and cellulose with a latex core) you can not only wash to 60 degrees (it does not stain and does not fray), but also in the dryer stuck. When washing it runs only minimally, but is a little softer and grippier in contrast to the purchase: Since it was completely smooth, but first frightening hard ... In addition, it crumples a little while washing, which gives the material but a magical vintage look and gives leather look. If you wet it by hand before hanging it up to dry, you can reinforce this look. Too thick gimmicks can be ironed out again easily.

Contaminants such as PVC or BPA are not included in SnapPap: thus it is not harmful to our health or the environment!

I myself have completely washed my SnapPap supplies in one, so that they have the finish look for later, and I do not have to wait until washing and drying to see what happens next, but I can get started right away with ideas.

But now to the endless processing possibilities of SnapPap: You can not only sew it (leather needle!) But also punching, punching, gluing, printing with stamping ink and / or transfer foil, embroidering (by hand - with the machine), painting , draw on it, stamp it, flock, emboss, iron and dye, furthermore wonderful without fringes with the pinking scissors cut. Do I have to say a lot more about the uses of SnapPap? It's a never-ending story that results ...

Unfortunately there is SnapPap czt. only in very well assorted craft shops, of course on the Internet and more recently also in Internet fabric retailers. It is available in five colors: white, light brown, dark brown, gray and black - in A4 blanks, in A3-sheet format or of the roll measuring 50 x 150 cm or 100 x 150 cm (please compare prices) ,

Questions and answers about SnapPap can be found at //snap-pap.de/faq/.

At least I can not advise to buy the few available books for the processing of SnapPap, because the selection of the objects presented there, understandably not everyone's taste and the book experience, but then soon lying around somewhere in the corner. Googling instead instead, marvel at the super suggestions on the Internet and download yourself there for you interesting down!

I have just three hints:

1) SnapPap please do not plug with pins, because there are then permanent holes, but with clothespins, fold-over brackets or the great Wonder Connect clips that look like mini-clothespins and very tightly connect fabric layers? et al to buy here: //www.amazon.de/Clover-MIDH15-Stoffklammern-Inhalt-Wonder/dp/B004ZKPX8A. Absolutely, as always, prices and packaging units compare!

2) Because I also want to use SnapPap for the production of labels, I have tried three types / strengths of pens: Before washing on fabric or SnapPap and then again. The brand names of the used pens you can read directly.

3) The Internet offers a plethora of ideas about working with SnapPap. I do not know about you, but I always want to collect the great ideas and suggestions that I find on the net, so that I can use them later, if I have the time, the desire and the material. For this one needs the internet address (link).

If you do not always want to copy the links of the pages you are looking for and save them somewhere (which is also time-consuming and you do not know after a long time, where / under what you have saved), you can do this at? Pinterest? Sign in. This is a social network that does not aim to be such. Eg at facebook? Verbal? but the user has the opportunity to save offers / images / videos from the Internet right along with the associated Internet address (link) permanently and in a very convenient way. An example: One finds in the net z. B. a great guide for keychains from SnapPap.This tutorial is available on Pinterest on an online personal wallet created online. to save. Imagine your fridge or a memo board, to which many notices stick. Exactly as it looks at Pinterest then on the screen: Your / a pin board then consists of seamlessly juxtaposed pictures, which are associated with invisible details in the background.

After the single registration with Pinterest (only with an e-mail address, but without real name or other personal data) it only needs one click, and Pinterest notices? in the background the link to exactly the website where you found this manual for sewing a keychain from snappap. At any point in time, I can dial in to Pinterest again and click on one of my own created whiteboards. On the screen of the calculator then appear immediately in picture form all of my notes stored on the Internet (think of the refrigerator: many little notes for many small notes) - Pinterest in the form of pictures. These little pictures will be? Pins? called.

If I then click on any pin, I will be redirected to the appropriate website and then immediately get to the previously selected by me instructions for the key ring!

The motto is: I pin an article, a photo or a video - Pinterest remembers this and saves it - I call it again and Pinterest leads me to exactly the website where the photo is listed - and all in seconds!

Below is an example of such a wall: If you click on the link, look for some pin? click it, and it will immediately appear solo on your screen. Then you click it again and it opens the entire website, where you would find him while Googling, because: Pinterest has the address quasi noticed ?:

Finally, I have to warn you then but before the purchase of SnapPap, because the processing is simply addictive - something that many women only create handbags, shoes and scarves ;-)

If some things are still unclear, please ask!
