Turn an age-old flower vase into a new fashionable one
I missed a color matching vase for a decoration on my windowsill. Since I had the idea of an old vase, even from my grandmother to design a new vase.
You need:
Toilet paper
Bastelleim or Hoelzim
water
Brush best a flat bristle brush
colour
The old vase I have thoroughly cleaned and dried, then the wood glue about 2 / 3-1 / 2 and water 1 / 3-1 / 2 together. The toilet paper (I took it in white) on the vase stick with the diluted wood glue. There have to be several layers.
After everything is dry, prime once with white paint and then the color you want. Finally, if necessary, apply varnish.
I painted my vase red. After the paint was dry, I have Krakelierlack on it done and with gold I'm over again. The crackle varnish causes cracks in the surface on the last layer, so that the red color is visible.
