Turn old into old - paint furniture and decoration
Have found this poor old clock in the dumpster and of course immediately rescued. After inserting the battery and seeing that it was working properly, it was immediately my next object. Old things like this clock you just do not throw in the trash, others can conjure up something nice out of it.
I think a lot of people do not know what to do with their old stuff, they find out, they are out of fashion and buy modern things. But just such old things have character and even if you no longer find them beautiful, it is sufficient in most cases, only a little new color and already made from an old object a new one.
So I sanded the watch from inside and out with sandpaper and then painted it with white paint. She needed 3 layers, as the wood was very dark. As you can see, it looks totally different now and is now my personal eye-catcher in the living room.
My reason for this tip is that I can imagine, no, I'm even quite sure that many still have such old things (treasures) lying around in the basement, attic and nothing to do with it or want. Sold, given away or embellished herself, others would still very much enjoy it and please keep them in front of the bin or the recycling center. Even if this watch did not work anymore, it would still be a nice piece of jewelry. You can get something out of almost everything, always remember it.
