Useful key chains
Losing a key is very unpleasant and fortunately rarely happens. But you spend a lot of time and nerves searching for a key. To prevent this from happening to me, I use the largest possible key fobs, which themselves serve a purpose, eg. B.

- a pair of pants or another piece of clothing
Connect key and screen with each other
The umbrella fits into the outer compartment of the backpack, the key itself I put in the backpack. The lanyard is so long that you can use the key while the umbrella gets stuck and vice versa, you can also use the umbrella without having to remove the key from the backpack. So no umbrella or key is lost.
Of course, you can also attach the key directly to the backpack

When you put things in your backpack or pocket or take something out, you can always remove the key first, put it next to it and put it back in again. There is no risk of leaving the key, because it is connected to the screen, which is in the outer compartment or with the backpack or the bag itself. Another advantage is that you can quickly get to the key, and In this way it does not end up under the bulk purchase, if you arrive at home with a full backpack and want to unlock the door. A key that is so moored can not easily be stolen (a popular trick of the elderly: stolen from the pocket of a senior citizen on their way to shopping for keys, and while they go shopping, their home is robbed).
At the clothes
If you go without a bag, backpack or umbrella out of the house, the key is right on waistband well housed. Again, a long lanyard is convenient because you can close without having to remove the key and then stow the key in your pocket. For pants without belt loops or when I'm wearing a skirt, I attach the lanyard to the loops that hang pants or skirt on a hanger. If it needs to go fast, I just hang the key around the neck.
At work
At work, the backpack with house key is enclosed in the cupboard. So I carry only cabinet and office key with me around. If you need to fax, copier, to the meeting, to the coffee machine or to the toilet, there is always the danger that you want to put the key only briefly, because you have to get their hands free for other things and then the key is left or slips somewhere between. A key attached to the clothing is not lost and can not be stolen by strangers who disguise themselves as colleagues or customers.
In your own apartment
If the key is lost in your own home, you'll be sure to remember when you left the house last, and which bag or clothes you were wearing, and thus find the key. Many a key has been found by us in the laundry basket just before the washing machine.
Always take only the really necessary keys
Some people have tens of keys on the bunch. Every morning, I think about which keys I really need on this day. The key to the cellar, the rehearsal room, the office space, the neighbor's mailbox ... I do not really have to carry around with me every day. I have the keys on smaller rings, which I can quickly assemble into a larger bundle and separate again if necessary. The keys I currently do not need are always on the shoe rack in a small bowl that my daughter once made me. This way the really necessary keys can be better handled. Should a bunch of keys ever get lost, then not many keys will be affected.
