Vegetables / fruit nets as protection against bird feeding

To protect my grapes from the cheeky, hungry blackbirds, I always collect nets of fruit / vegetables. Since we always have quite a few grapes, we do the work and put over each grape a net. This works wonderfully against the blackbirds in the garden, who always know first when the grapes are ripe and otherwise always leave their beak traces there and throw the grapes through the area. So we have our grapes for us, but then always leave some not so nice, small grapes hanging, so that the Pieper not go out too empty.
