This is a very tasty recipe for a chocolate cake. It tastes easy and chocolaty and is made quickly.

The chocolate cake is perfect for children's birthday parties, but also great for adults. The recipe has been tried and tested for many years and always arrives very well, no matter what the occasion.

  • 300 g block or dark chocolate (milk chocolate can also be taken, but then the cake does not taste so chocolaty anymore and is a lot sweeter)
  • 150 g butter
  • 100 g of flour
  • 6 eggs (separated)
  • 100 g of sugar or less, depending on the taste and depending on which chocolate is used.

preparation

  1. The chocolate is liquefied with very little water or some butter, either in a water bath or in the microwave. Then the butter is liquefied as well and then both masses are combined and stirred.
  2. Egg yolk and sugar are stirred until foamy and then mixed with the chocolate mass, or underlined.
  3. Now the egg white is struck stiff and gradually lifted in alternation with the sieved flour under the mass. Best by hand, very carefully. As a result, the chocolate cake is then very nice loose.
  4. If you do not have that much time, but you can also stir everything together with the hand mixer. The cake will still succeed well.
  5. Now the dough is filled into a greased and slightly floured form (Gugelhupf- box or a round shape) and baked at about 220 degrees for about 50 - 60 minutes (make a stick sample, whether he is through).
  6. Depending on the oven, possibly after about 20 - 25 minutes, cover the cake with aluminum foil, so it is not too dark.
  7. After baking and cooling, it is covered with a milk chocolate coating and decorated with colorful sprinkles or chocolate beans (Smarties) depending on the occasion, mood and mood. Also "only" powdered sugar is doing very well on the cake and of course goes faster.
