Vinegar against cooking and frying smell

If after cooking / frying the kitchen is full of food odor (especially bad after eg meatballs), you can just put a pot with water and a good shot of vinegar on the stove. Bring to a boil for a short time and then leave to simmer (to give a lot of steam). After half an hour, remove the pot from the heat and air briefly. The vinegar smell evaporates pretty quickly and the frying smell is gone.

Small tip: If you have a sensitive nose, but should avoid the kitchen, as long as the vinegar water is on the stove!
