Vinegar oil as furniture polish

Now that I have no more trouble with my kitchen worktop made of oiled oak wood, I always have a glass of vinegar-oil mixture (mixed 1: 1) as furniture polish around.

For darker wood I take balsamic vinegar. For light wood apple cider vinegar. As an oil, I take sunflower oil. You could certainly work with darker oil on darker woods.

The other day, when an old bedside table fell into my hands, I used this furniture polish? made of it. It was really amazing how beautiful the wood was. Light water spots were completely eliminated and even the completely battered surface became beautiful again. Only the strong spot I did not get out completely. The scratch in the left door was not quite out.

As in the other tip I worked the surface with the hard side of the kitchen sponge, the doors only with the soft side. Distribute the vinegar oil polish generously on the wood and let it absorb. For the doors was one-time processing enough, at the top I had several times over it. The excess vinegar oil polish I then with a soft cotton cloth (old undershirt or T-shirt is great for) wiped and polished.

The vinegar oil scent evaporates quickly and was more pleasant to me than the chemical furniture polish smell. The good thing is, I always have vinegar and oil in the house. Now I never need to buy extra furniture polish again. To polish enough oil, which u.U. already rancid and no longer wants to be consumed. So you can also use leftovers.
