Wash long-haired bath linens lint-free

The purchase of a very expensive and therefore very thick, because with thick pile (long hair) equipped bath mat, brought me after the first wash more than a sweat: The washing machine was totally inside with the production of her still adhering excess pile parts / lint completely einsein ..., which unfortunately I noticed only in the following dark 40-degree fine wash.

Here are my experiences / tips:

The mat

  • Exclusively solo or quite with quite "smooth" textiles wash together where excess "pile hair" slide off (eg the shower curtain, which always does well) or sports textiles made of functional polyester, which have an absolutely smooth surface - so no Fleece jacket (gray!)
  • In any case with little (and only) liquid detergent (dissolves better than granular detergent powder and leaves no residue in any case).
  • If the machine allows, add an extra rinse

Since I do so, is not only the bath mat clean, but also the washing machine for all subsequent washes best left, because lint-free!
