Washing clothes with chestnuts
Easy way to do laundry with freshly collected chestnuts.
For a wash you need 5 chestnuts. These are carefully minced, e.g. with the nutcracker or a hammer. The finer the chopped chestnuts are, the better the contained saponin, which is responsible for the washing effect, can escape.
So you can edit the chestnuts in a well-kept laundry or similar. directly into the drum of the washing machine.
Alternatively, you can also put the chestnut pieces in water overnight and strained off the broth in the detergent dispenser.
The whole thing can be supplemented with some vinegar essence via the fabric softener compartment.
