Water tomato plants properly

Tomato plants should not get wet leaves when they are watering. That's why I've ever bought a clay pot (about 15 cm in diameter) per plant in the hardware store and buried this right next to the plant.

Now I pour directly into the pot and depending on how fast the water seeps into it, the more needy the plant is and its leaves remain dry.

If you like, you can lay dried hay from the zoo business or DIY store around the plants and pots, then the leaves will not come into contact with wet soil.

Due to possible wind, but I think this only in the tomato house for empfehlenswert- try.

My tomato plants also wear a plastic dress (foil) with holes from the hardware store especially for tomatoes.
