Wear pencil skirts - without slipping

I love to wear pencil skirts and have always had the problem that the skirt has slipped up while running. Even after sitting, he had to be pulled down again. This not only looks ugly, but is also exhausting in the long term.

I've tried everything: different skirt size, different fabric, sew on petticoat, etc., nothing really helped.

Now I have come up with an idea that I have copied in the production of curtains. Why not sew a curtain weight in the lower hem of the skirt. I tried it and it works fine. When running the skirt does not slip up. When I get up, the skirt automatically pulls straight through the weight again.

This is how it's done:

As shown in the first picture, open the outer hem seam of the skirt and thread the curtain weight. Then you sew the seam back and finished is the non-slip skirt. On the second picture you can see the curtain weight.

Still the following notes:

  1. Please do not buy a lead curtain made of lead! Lead is poisonous! I have just found a well-known manufacturer that offers a lead-free product.
  2. The skirt necessarily wash in a Wäschesäckchen and dry lying.
  3. Make sure that the curtain weight is threaded neatly. Otherwise, unpleasant wrinkles form.
  4. Make sure that the weight of the curtain weight is not too heavy for the fabric of the skirt. I have had good experiences with 100 to 200 g per meter.

Have fun with non-slip rock wear! ?
