What is the litter in the litter box? Measure the filling height

Many of the common Klumpstreus should fill 5 cm high the litter box. When cleaning, you only need to refill as much litter as you have taken. But how do you know if the filling level is really right? You do not really want to stick the ruler, ruler or finger in the litter box.

1. Toilet paper rolls have a height of almost exactly 10 cm. So you take an empty roll of toilet paper, fold it once in the middle to 5 cm and then open again. The kink and the upper 5 cm can be clearly visualized with a pencil.
