Where to go with the change?

In my purse quickly accumulates a small change.

For this I have three different tips:

1. Pay with the change
This is the quickest way to get rid of the change. When shopping, pay the small change and pay with it. If you have the money at hand, that usually goes fast, otherwise you can reap annoyed glances at a long line at the box office. So maybe you would rather quit on a Saturday in the supermarket, if only one checkout is open and the queue is getting longer ...

2. Feeding machines
Many machines also take 1-cent pieces, e.g. Stamp machines. However, the number is limited to about 15 coins per stamp. I've already turned whole change collections into stamps. Here is as above, rather do not do it, if behind several people waiting.

3. Bring small change collection to a German Bundesbank
They were called state central banks until 2002. They exist in most major cities nationwide. There you can also exchange large collections of small change without fees or further effort.

4. Donate change
In various shops, but also in museums, cultural centers and other venues are donation boxes for different purposes.

Not recommended:
Do more shopping with a credit or debit card instead of cash. Although you have less change in the purse, but also has less overview of how much money is still in the account, because you no longer withdraw the money for purchases. Many also tend to spend more on this type of pay.
