Where to go with the row counter when knitting?

This tip finds its use when working with a double pointed needles. My row counter does not provide any possibility of attachment to the fabric itself, but can be pushed onto needles.

When knitting on a needleload you can push it on it, but it always has to "carry" it while working, so to speak, can also be many stitches on each needle to a real obstacle and would especially when knitting with five needles of one to the other needle to be changed.

That's why I push it, e.g. on a Maschenraffer (I just remember when writing: or to a large safety pin, which you can hang on the way of the fabric!). Here he can not detach himself and "disappear" (for example by falling down under the cozy armchair ...).

I then place the stitches next to me or in my lap so that it is visible and within easy reach and can be found easily when falling down.

The point where the knitting begins in rows a new row and I have to change the number, I mark with a different colored yarn or with a curtain hook (see other tip here in this forum!). One then does not need to buy the vaunted Markierringe.

By the way: If you have neither a Maschenraffer or a safety pin at hand, tuts also a Schaschlikstab ...
