Women's Health - Candida - Vaginal Fungal Infections

Mostly, a vaginal fungal infection is the candida fungus, which makes life difficult for many a woman, and the lust for sex. Although it occurs naturally on human skin, in certain circumstances, its overgrowth can be beneficial and a problem.

He makes itchy and burning in the pubic area, directly on the labia, even inside the vagina, where you really can not scratch, noticeable. You do not want that to be a woman!

The vagina is also very dry. And in severe cases you have doughy, white, crumbly, but mostly odorless discharge and white coating on the clitoris.

The most common cause of this is OBs / tampons that have been used incorrectly, but there are also a few other factors that I have written for you.

  • If you use them during menstruation, make sure that the tampon size is always adjusted to the rule strength.
  • There are the tampons depending on the manufacturer in 2 - 5 different sizes.
  • The size, which one should use, does not depend on the vagina size but on the rule strength. The more you have menstruation, the more blood escapes from the vagina and the bigger the tampon should be.
  • It is important to change them regularly.
  • If the menstruation is only light, it is better to switch to bandages.
  • In the evening, when going to bed, it makes sense to use bandages with wings that were made for the night.
  • When sleeping tampons in the vagina is not good. You can dehydrate the vagina too much and this can cause a lengthy fungal infection.
  • Tampons used when swimming in the pool must also be removed immediately after swimming.
  • Although tampons give women greater freedom of movement, I personally would prefer to use bandages in all sizes and variations. But this is up to every woman, nowadays there is, thank God, a very large selection of feminine hygiene products.
  • Who unfortunately already has the mentioned complaints, should definitely go to the doctor, or in the pharmacy and describe his complaints there. It will surely find the right product that helps. Mostly it is a suppository, which is inserted deeply but carefully into the vagina by means of an applicator. In addition, there is usually a mushroom ointment, with which one creams the labia nicely. It is important to carry out the treatment according to the doctor / pharmacist and not to end it too soon. Because mushrooms are persistent.
  • In the period of treatment is to renounce sexual intercourse.
  • It may also be necessary for the sexual partner to be treated as well.
  • Tampons can in rare cases also trigger a toxic shock. (TSS)
  • And something to remember: Always wash your hands well with soap, then introduce the tampon.
  • For cuts on the fingers / hands, do not bring them into contact with the vagina, as you could get infected here as well.
  • The underwear should be cotton, bamboo or hemp fiber - no synthetics!
  • Wash underwear with detergent and sanitary towel to remove germs.
  • Use only intimate wet wipes for adults, no wet wipes made for babies. Infants have a perfect other PH value than an adult. The baby towels are matched to their PH value. If women use these, the vaginal environment is adversely affected and pathogenic germs then have an easy time.
  • A menstrual cup made of silicone should even be better tolerated than a tampon and prevent the development of a fungal infection.
