Wrap lampshade with wool yarn
A lampshade frame for the floor lamp was in the store. The frame is 20 cm high, at the top it has a diameter of 15 cm, below 25 cm.
Now I've tried how to make a fabric with wool yarn. For wrapping I used 3 different sorts. Above monochrome beige, middle monochrome gray, both were leftovers.
Below, I have a ball of Lana Grossa? Feltro Highland? bought, this is beige-gray-colored. The winding is not as easy as one thinks. The top is nice and smooth, but below, where the frame rounds, it is more difficult. You have to wrap very loose and always check if the yarn sags. Most of the work involves wrapping the edges. For sewing the threads I used a padded needle.
A straight square lampshade frame is definitely easier to work with.
