Eggs in the glass - very easy & very yummy
Time
Total preparation time: 20 min.
There are so many difficult variants of the egg in the glass. Here's a simple version of me.
Ingredients per serving:
- 2 eggs
- some cream
- Salt, pepper, Worchestersauce, nutmeg
- butter
- a glass or porcelain bowl with a high rim (eg RagoutFin bowl)
- aluminum foil
- Creme fraiche Cheese
preparation
- Bring a pot of about 2 cm of water to a boil.
- From the first egg you only need the egg yolk. Beat this in a bowl with about the same amount of cream with a fork until frothy. Season with a little salt, pepper, Worchestersauce, and some grated nutmeg. Break through again.
- From the bowl with a little butter rub the walls and the floor, so nothing burns. Now add the mass.
- Now the second egg is carefully opened and poured into the middle of the egg yolk mass.
- Tear off a piece of aluminum foil and form a lid for the bowl.
- Now put the bowl in a water bath. Cover on the pot and simmer for about 15 minutes.
- After that, the egg should actually be completely set.
- Remove the bowl from the pan, "Be careful!", Remove the aluminum foil and add a teaspoonful of crème fraîche to top it off.
This hearty egg in a glass is a real alternative to the cooked breakfast egg.
