Here is a tip on how best to dispose of broken drinking glasses:
The first thought is: to old glass, if you bring the champagne bottles and screw jars.
This idea is not so good. Many jars are fireproof, and since you have no way of finding out which, you should put a broken glass in the trash.
Refractory glass melts eventually, but the melting process is much more protracted.
Therefore you should dispose drinking glasses separately from normal waste glass.
