Homemade marzipan

ingredients

  • about 200g whole almonds, best unpeeled
  • about 200g powdered sugar

preparation

  1. Cover the almonds with hot water and let them steep for 10 minutes, then skin them and finely grind them in a kitchen utensil. I use my blender, for which I have an additional part, so a small container with knife inside.
  2. In addition, depending on taste, rose water, kirsch or other liqueurs or schnapps and icing sugar are added. Mix everything well. I fill it again in a bowl and knead it through again.

Today I added some rose water and orange syrup. From each about a tablespoon.

The marzipan is suitable for snacking and baking.

I turned it into balls today and rolled it in melted chocolate. I like uploading photos soon :-)
