So the color lasts longer after hair coloring

After hair dyeing and washing with warm water, freshly dyed hair should be rinsed briefly with cold water so that the cuticle of the hair closes (again). The beautiful, new color is so closed with. With closed dandruff the hair is naturally also softer than with roughened skin.

Too hot water is generally not good for fresh colored hair. The high temperatures open the cuticle, which allows the coloration to escape.

The tip was then also, after my approval, implemented. I was warned before the temperature of the water was lowered. First a little cooler, then a little more and then briefly cold. It was unusual but very pleasant in the hot temperatures. The first week after dyeing, I apply the tip also at home. In the winter I will take a warmed towel and then dry my hair in a timely manner, so that the head does not cool down.

I only found the tip from 2008 here, which indicates that rinsing with cold water after washing your hair should soften your hair. That's why I put this tip today, which I recently got from the hairdresser.
