Sugary drops of orchids - remove and prevent

This drop formation means guttation and does not seem to harm the plant. Everywhere, like a beaded band on the stems and under the orchid leaves, you can see small drops that feel sticky.

You can remove them with a cloth with warm water.

They arise when the apartment is too dry, either by heated air - or when the orchids are in the blazing sun. Which is probably less the case in winter.

If you have a garden, you can place all the orchids next to each other and shake them off with warm water in a watering can. Or in the shower or tub.

Put a dish on the heater with water often already provides for a better climate in the apartment.
