Apple pie with spelled wholegrain flour and marbled butter crumble
To all lovers of delicious apple pie from the tin I would like to recommend a variant with wholegrain flour, which I always like to bake. It is an uncomplicated, quick recipe that is guaranteed to work well.
ingredients
For the dough:
- 125 g of Sanella (or butter)
- 120 g of sugar
- 1 pck of vanilla sugar
- 3 eggs
- 300 g spelled wholemeal flour
- ½ pck of baking soda
- 1 pinch of salt
- 200 g of sour cream
For covering:
- 1 kg of apples
- at will 80 g raisins
- some rum or apple juice
For the crumble:
- 200 g butter
- 180 g of sugar
- 1 pinch of salt
- 300 g of flour
- 20 g of cocoa powder
preparation
- The raisins are (preferably overnight) soaked in rum or apple juice.
- For the dough, stir the soft sella / butter with sugar, vanilla sugar and eggs with a hand mixer until frothy, then add the flour mixed with baking powder and salt in portions, stir well and finally stir in the sour cream.
- The dough is spread evenly on the sheet of baking paper.
- The apples are washed, peeled (but not absolutely necessary), freed from the core and cut into cubes not too small, mixed with the rumrosins and evenly distributed on the ground.
- For the crumbles, mix soft butter, sugar, salt and flour in a bowl with the kneading hooks of the hand mixer until a crumbly dough is formed.
- One half of it is kneaded with your fingers to sprinkle, the other half mixed in another bowl with the cocoa and also shaped into sprinkles.
- Now spread the two sprinkles over the apple layer and push the sheet into the preheated to 200 degrees (top / bottom heat) oven (no circulating air!).
- The cake is baked 35-40 minutes, and after cooling, is it only called? enjoy, maybe with some whipped cream - GOOD APPETITE !!
?TIP: But it also tastes wonderful when it's still a bit warm!
