Casserole of leftover sausages

When we have fried sausages left over after a barbecue, I cut them into slices the next day, fry them with onion and season with curry. Then I add broth and cream, let it boil everything again, possibly thicker the sauce and taste it off. (It should be a curry sauce, though.)

I cut cabbage into bite-sized pieces and cook the cabbage in salted water. Then the cabbage is poured off, layered into a casserole dish, pour the sausage curry mixture over it and bake with mozzarella or Emmentaler in the oven for about 20 minutes. I pass out potatoes for that.

This recipe is very well received by my family. If there are only a few fried sausages left, I freeze the leftovers after each barbecue so that I can get a decent meal later.
