No clogging of the water pipe
Pebbles or lint or sand in the cleaning water ... have no chance to clog the water line, if you proceed as follows:
Pour cleaning water through a large fine-mesh sieve at the sink. Everything stays in there. After a short wait, when all the water has got lost, you get out with a strip of toilet paper the dirt remaining in the network - and off in the trash. (The sieve can always be kept in a cleaning bucket).
The aquatic creatures and the water are also pleased: one uses only very rarely pipe cleaner and the like.
