Potato dumplings (Quarkknödel)

The potato dumplings / quark dumplings taste cold even very well - eg. As a cup of coffee or the kids love it as a snack in between. (So ​​to speak, saltimbocca sweet).

ingredients

  • 50 g butter
  • 30 g of sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 500 g pots
  • 180 g durum wheat semolina

preparation

  1. Mix the butter, sugar and eggs until frothy, mix in salt, quark and semolina and let them swell for about 1/2 hour.
  2. In the meantime, toast the bread crumbs in enough butter golden and refine with sugar to taste.
  3. Bring salted water to a boil in a large saucepan.
  4. Make small dumplings by hand and place in the cooking water.
  5. With a half-open lid, let it rest for about 10 minutes.
  6. Remove with the skimmer, drain and roll into the bread crumbs. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
  7. It tastes good applesauce or any compote.
