Sew on paper

Sewing on paper, that may sound crazy, but of course is possible and leaves creatives among you from today no more peace, this time try out:

Requirements are:

a functioning, like also old sewing machine

discarded because actually blunt sewing machine needle (s) (kept separate from the new one in paper)

as sewing pad either normal paper or even stronger up to cardboard (then thicker needle)

Sewing threads of every kind - try sometimes metallic yarn!

conventional bobbin thread

So, now this is going on:

Insert old needle (note somewhere, so that the silk to be sewn afterwards will not do anything)

Draw lines / curves ... on the paper or sew by hand, also try different stitch types and lengths

Possibly. Cut into shape with the rotary cutter - laminate the back with paper of a different color - pasting the sewing picture into a homemade mat or into a homemade folding card ...

There are unimagined possibilities, from which even the smaller ones, who can sew a straight seam, profit.

Another reference to the technique "sewing by numbers", which has as its core activity exclusively sewing on paper. In addition, as a special feature of this technique: sewn is always only on straight lines - the conditions for sewing are so low, because a straight stitch stitching can sew any hobbyist.

It can be hereby magical patched fabric images produce, which are not only an eye-catcher, but always a unique (see photos attached).

The technique "sewing by numbers" is excellently explained in books or in already mentioned courses (the numbers indicate only the order in which the used materials are laid on the paper and fastened with a straight stitch)
