Store open toast for a very long time

Who does not know this: Toast bought, two or three slices eaten, leave remaining slices in the bag, NEN knots in the top and down in the closet, out of the eye out of mind. After a week already sprouts the first white horse. Then it's off to the bin.

Others freeze toast. I say, it is much easier. As usual ... bought toast, two or three slices of food, leave remaining slices in the bag, put a knot in the top ... STOP!

From here begins my tip:

  1. only remove the panes with clean hands
  2. only touch the discs, which are also removed
  3. ever a paper bag inflated to scare others with a bang? Same principle. Just put in the air instead, take your mouth out of the toast bag with your mouth (do not overdo it). So far, until the bag is tight against the toast (small note: vacuum is not the goal).
  4. While you still pull the air out with your mouth (holding the toast bag on your hand, hanging free) with the other hand, turn the bag so that you twisted the bag end under air suction.
  5. A few more twists, so you have enough twisted end to turn the twisted piece (like a U). Clip the twisted bag - "U" together with the bag clip. That's it.

Control: if the toast bag is tight and air out, it feels like a (not so brutal) vacuum-sealed package of coffee powder.

And why do I organize this effort?

With such a closed toast-bag, the toast can easily last a month or even longer. No matter if it is open only once or several times, summer or winter, humid or dry climate.

This idea was born by me 5-6 years ago. Since then I've never had to dispose of toast for mold again.

Have fun trying.
