If there are cheap strawberries, I make every year a good strawberry liqueur, which you can either enjoy pure, or even to vanilla eggs, etc. can give.
I take about 2 pounds of strawberries and puree them.
Then I put in a big glass of 3 cinnamon sticks, a vanilla pod and 200 g (depending on how sweet it should be) coarse sugar.
