Ultra long baked stains in the oven

I confess that I have only used and not maintained my new stove for a year. I was a piglet, so all the spots had the time to go deeper and deeper into the oven. In the end, they had become one. I've visited most internet forums and tried many things (like baking soda - vinegar essence, lemon blend, toilet detergent, manufacturer's EasyClean program, etc.) but nothing really helped me. The pretty videos on the net then have rather frustrated me in the result. All tips are probably helpful if man (!) Does not skid and trusts in the self-cleaning power of the stove.

At this point, I would like to express my respect to all the women involved who, after every use of their stove, also clean it! I admit that I always underestimated that. After the experiences of the last 7 days, you, dear women, are entitled to at least a bouquet of flowers, or at least at least "to be pressed".

After my odyssey I found a good solution for me. It essentially consists of an active gel for ovens combined with the use of cling films that have the most home.

Here are my tips:

Read the cleaning tips of the manufacturer and observe the warnings!

Call the manufacturer of your oven and describe your problem and ask for a solution. If you are lucky, then there is a competent and honest conversation partner at the other end of the telephone line. (Document the time and name of the caller as well as the number you called.)

Whatever you plan to do, try it on the back of the baking tray of your oven first. Keep in mind that producers like to understate solutions. You will probably have to calculate 12 hours for the first test.

Remember also that there is no general concept.

I bought a glass ceramic field scraper, an absorbent microfibre cloth, a new scotch sponge and the active gel.

With the glass ceramic field scraper, I first worked on the coarse spots. They do not have to be removed completely manually. The scraper serves only to destroy the surface of the stains. I imagined a louse, whose shell I would have to get, so it finally works.

Very important !: Buy disposable gloves and always use them! Allow at least an hour in which you can neither be reached by phone nor ask your best friend.

Legislative history:

Remove all rails for the bays according to the manufacturer's instructions. I put these in a commercial soap suds for the next 2 days. You can sprinkle this with the gel in between and work with the sponge. The scraper for the grill represented one of my teaspoons.

Most ovens nowadays have a special self-cleaning coating on the back wall. This must never be damaged. Therefore, hang it first with a cling film about 1 cm above it. Tesafilm helps you to fix the film. Stay patient with you and your oven!

Execution:

After completing all preparatory work, I sprayed the interior of the oven with the gel. Then I put the cling film on it (perpendicular to the side walls, then horizontally on the floor) and gently stroked the sponge out slowly, without much pressure, the air bubbles out. This is very important in the corners of the oven. My observation was that only where the film was directly applied, the best cleaning results were achieved.

Forget the manufacturer's instructions for oven gels of 20 minutes. The smallest unit is called "hours"; So best over night - with foil!

The next day I checked with a simple trick whether the result already meets my requirements: I took a finger and performed without much pressure, circular movements around a special spot / splash / dot on the surface of the film from. When the process was complete, the object of desire disappeared and the gel turned brown. I tested this in several places on the underside of my baking tray and then carefully peeled off the foil and placed it face down. Then I took the damp microfiber cloth and wiped the gel off. The result was phenomenal but not yet satisfactory. After processing with the scotch, there was already another picture. Still, I repeated the process, one more time, et voila, it now looks like freshly washed, just not with Perwoll.
