Coconut Buzzers / Coconut Macaroons

Here is my recipe for delicious coconut bouquets / coconut macaroons.

ingredients

  • 4 egg whites
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 300 g of granulated sugar
  • 120 g flour (handy or universal)
  • 200 g coconut flakes
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar

preparation

  1. Whip the 4 egg whites with a pinch of salt over steam a little bit, then slowly pour the granulated sugar into the mixture while stirring and pour until the mixture has warmed up.
  2. Remove from the water vapor, and beat in cold water (I do it in my sink) until the mass has cooled down again.
  3. Then stir in flour, coconut flakes, honey and vinegar and let rest for 20 minutes.
  4. Place small piles on a baking sheet lined with baking paper with a spoon and bake for 15 minutes at 150 degrees Celsius.
  5. Allow to cool and into the cookie jar.
  6. The mass is enough for 2 baking trays, depending on the size of the piles.
