Code of Conduct & Tips on Teeth Removal (Wisdom Teeth)

Removing wisdom teeth is sometimes a very time-consuming task, which unfortunately can not be avoided in some cases.

Things to do before the Op

If you are a person who can not stand still for a long time in his own chaos, or generally a clean man / woman, I have made it my goal to clean up everything that was messy, so that after the Op I do not even come close to the idea clean up.

Plenty of bag soup, compote, one or two nylon tights (will be added later by a little tip from my surgeon), buy water ice. Make ice cubes.

Just before the Op

In order to keep the circulation stable during the procedure, you should eat very well beforehand. Drinking enough would be ideal here.

After the procedure

If possible do not drive yourself, always look that someone has one of the drives home. Otherwise prefer to take a taxi. (The bus is very inappropriate, because if you are already a little bad, you do not want to be stared at, like a lethargic!)

Once you arrive home, sit on the couch / sofa / bed and ideally do the day chilling and doing nothing.

Cool

The A and O after such an Op, is cooling on the first day and the first night. Depending on how many teeth have been removed, one cools with a washcloth, which was previously dipped in ice water. However, if you have gotten away on both sides teeth, so you can hold bad with both hands, the two washcloths or?

Here is the insider tip

I got from my doctor, so a gauze bandage similar loop with which I could pull over my head and put the washcloths inside.

Unfortunately, this broke very quickly. So what do you do? I took an old nylon pantyhose and cut off one leg above the trunk. Then I cut 10 cm deeper from a new loop and Voila, a perfect replacement for the gauze bandage.

Immerse the washcloth half (better quarterly) hourly in the ice water and make it cool again. And best sit all day, do not lie down, even if you feel like it.

For the first night

I was advised to sleep without pillows, to avoid heat accumulation on the cheeks. Although in the end very uncomfortable, but for the one or two nights feasible to prevent inflammation.

Before going to bed, it is best to wet the washcloth again, as it should cool the whole night in place.

Never cool with an ice pack or ice cubes. First, it is very unpleasant and can lead to freezer burn on the cheeks.

So I hope that helps all those who have met the same fate as me. Get well.
