Collect walnuts
Almost every year, my walnut tree is full of nuts. I used to pick them up individually, then put them together for a few years, but now I have found the ultimate way for me to collect nuts.
When the first walnuts fall, I spread old-fashioned old-fashioned stores under my tree, which I can then grab along the edges if it's worth it and empty the resulting "nut and leaf sack" into a container. This must still be sorted out - foliage and the bowls are there, of course - but that's a pleasant work, which I like to do on beautiful late summer days. B. done at the garden table while sitting.
Stores or fine nets are recommended because they are - unlike foils
- Let rainwater through and the nuts are not in the water,
- Let light through, and therefore do not damage grass or other things,
- Let the wind through, it dries up again on beautiful autumn days, and
- Not susceptible to wind, d. H. a stone at each corner is enough for the fortification - even larger storms are easily overcome with this wind-permeable material.
Incidentally, I save the collapse of much of the foliage. By the way, old stores were in my neighbor and relatives in quantities!
