Diabetic drug with side effect Diarrhea, possibly avoid

If diabetes medications - such as in my case metformin - as a side effect u.a. Diarrhea and / or nausea, it often depends on the manufacturer, whether (and how strongly) you have to fight this problem or even not at all.

The discount agreements, however, limit the number of manufacturers from whom the funds may be made to a very small number (at least for me, there were three) for at least one quarter.

For years, I often suffered for a long time from the consequences of this unpleasant side effect and often could not leave the house for days. When I wanted to get my metformin from the pharmacy yesterday, I asked, from which manufacturers I could get it this time, and the pharmacist called me the three names. From no one of them I have ever taken it, and said very annoyed that then again, it was like a lottery game, whether you can tolerate the selected funds or not. And that I am gradually tired of having such bad diarrhea again and again that I can not even go shopping anymore or meet deadlines.

The lady told me that if my doctor was not prepared to prescribe me the metformin from a particular manufacturer, she could treat the prescription as a private prescription, then I could choose which manufacturer to pay me out of my own pocket.

Since insulin, blood sugar test strips and Co. are very expensive, I first asked carefully how expensive Metformin was. She answered me that a quarterly ration in my case (2 tablets to 850 mg daily from my preferred manufacturer) would be only twice as expensive as the statutory additional payment that I would otherwise have to pay.

I was really baffled - whether I pay now 5 or 12.50 euros for at least three months, that does not really make me poor. If only I had known earlier - it would have spared me years of inconvenience!

That's why I pass this tip on to all diabetics who are experiencing similar problems through the discount agreements To suffer:

Inquire for the price of your preferred supplement, because not all diabetes drugs are obviously as expensive as at least I always thought.
