Dust the smoke detectors & save money

I have a total of 3 smoke detectors in my house. It always amazed me that after about a year one of them gave the signal of the deflated battery, while the other two had the same battery for several years.

Last year I loaded this one with a permanent battery, which should last about 10 years. And these too made sounds now. So today I am in this electrical business where I bought this special battery a year ago. And here again showed the advantage of a pirate business compared to online purchases or the large electric supermarkets.

One of the owners checked the battery and it was 100% full. I got the tip: sometimes go with the vacuum cleaner on the smoke detector, or a duster.

These parts are at the top of the ceiling and the dust always moves upwards. If you look in the room against the sun, you see the "dust"? yes buzzing. From the outside I looked at the smoke detector while nothing, but then I went with the vacuum cleaner over the pages where the small holes for the possible smoke are present. The battery was working normally again.

Probably the normal batteries, which used to be in there again, would have worked again, I would have come up with this idea and it would have saved some euros for a new battery.

Why did the other two always sign up after a few years? One is in the laundry room, it probably does not dust that way, because there is not so much movement there. And the other upstairs, which is not so often "visited" by me. Even there is hardly any dust whirled up.

Is therefore a logical explanation and saves money. Although not much, but a lot is also a lot.

Maybe someone can use this tip and occasionally visit the smoke detector with the vacuum cleaner. Buy now Egg Electronics Ei650 10-year smoke detector, test winner Stiftung-Warentest, 1 piece Egg Electronics Ei650 10-year smoke detector, test winner Stiftung-Warentest, 1 piece 28.38? 21,99 ?
