Exact edges when painting
To achieve exact edges when painting, there is a very simple trick:
If you want decorative stripes etc. on rough walls (woodchip wallpaper, rough plaster, etc.), you should first draw a straight line with the spirit level or the straight edge, mask with masking tape, so that the pencil line is still visible. So that no paint can run underneath the masking tape, apply acrylic (not silicone) not too thick to the edge, masking tape and area to be painted.
