Heat and then cold against insect bites

We work on rescue towers and therefore have some experience.

The sting brings with it two things, the poison and the associated swelling. The size of these, of course, depends on the insect and the victim.

The poison can be denatured by heat (a temp of about 5 seconds at 50 degrees is sufficient). After that, cold things help with the swelling.

We always recommend the stitch healer, as it only heats the temperature for a short time and thus there is no danger of burns. A wax drop should do the same. Thereafter, cold compresses and wet wraps for the still excessive swelling e.g. in wasp stings very pleasant.

Please fit too high temperatures (risk of burns). Not too cool when cooling (danger of frostbite).

Warming changes (denatures) the structure of the poison.
