ingredients

For the dough

  • 200 g butter
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 70 g of sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 280 g of flour
  • 100 g of coconut flakes
  • 50 g of ground almonds
  • 1 pinch of salt

For the breading

  • 100g grated coconut
  • 2 packets of vanilla sugar
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar

preparation

  1. Knead ingredients for the dough and then refrigerate for about 1 hour in the refrigerator.
  2. Now form into several thin rolls, cut into pieces (about the length of the thumb) and form Kipferl out of it.
  3. Bake at medium temperature for about 10 minutes at preheated 200 ° C (longer or shorter depending on thickness).
  4. During the baking time mix the ingredients for the breading and roll the hot kipferl in it afterwards.
