Make zipper slider invisible on the decorative cushion

For pillow cases I'm always annoyed that the slider (actually it's the sliding body and the attached handle plate) often protrudes from the cushion cover (and you sometimes get stuck with textiles on it).

Now I grab the following trick, which seems a bit complicated (because difficult to describe with words):

  1. Open the (closed) zipper about 3 cm,
  2. The (annoying!) Handle plate does not raise as usual (ie vertical position), but exactly on the contrary in the desired sliding direction completely "fold down", so close the spiral, so that the handle plate touches the spiral.
  3. Grasp the sliding body (if necessary, carefully hook it with a fingernail) and push it further towards the "end" of the spiral, as if to close the zipper.
  4. When the handle plate reaches the end of the spiral, it is pushed into the interior of the cushion, but the sliding body is pushed a few millimeters further: The handle plate is thus almost below the spiral and is no longer visible!

To open the zipper, grasp / hook it back on the grip body and push it a few centimeters in the desired direction, then roll out the grip plate and open the zipper as usual.

If a reader thinks, that's a lot of effort for nothing: I feel that not as such, but as a quick job done and nice addition to the great "outfit" of a pillowcase!
