Pork sausage-potato casserole

This casserole has been a hit in our family for almost 30 years - simple and delicious!

Ingredients for 4 persons:

  • 600g of boiled potatoes, peeled and sliced ​​thinly
  • 500g meat sausage (who likes, even with garlic), without skin and also cut into thin slices
  • Butter or margarine for greasing
  • Marjoram, salt and freshly ground white pepper
  • Grated Emmentaler cheese (Gouda goes too)
  • 1/4 l sweet cream

preparation

  1. Layer a layer of meat sausage slices in a greased baking dish and dust with marjoram.
  2. Then a layer of potatoes, season with salt and pepper.
  3. Now cover with a layer of grated cheese.
  4. Repeat the whole thing again in the same order.
  5. Pour the cream over the top layer of cheese and bake in the preheated oven at 220 ° C for 15-20 minutes until the surface is golden brown.
  6. Serve immediately.
