Pork sausage-potato casserole

This casserole has been a hit in our family for almost 30 years - simple and delicious!
Ingredients for 4 persons:
- 600g of boiled potatoes, peeled and sliced thinly
- 500g meat sausage (who likes, even with garlic), without skin and also cut into thin slices
- Butter or margarine for greasing
- Marjoram, salt and freshly ground white pepper
- Grated Emmentaler cheese (Gouda goes too)
- 1/4 l sweet cream
preparation
- Layer a layer of meat sausage slices in a greased baking dish and dust with marjoram.
- Then a layer of potatoes, season with salt and pepper.
- Now cover with a layer of grated cheese.
- Repeat the whole thing again in the same order.
- Pour the cream over the top layer of cheese and bake in the preheated oven at 220 ° C for 15-20 minutes until the surface is golden brown.
- Serve immediately.
